Liberal govt 'didn't deserve to get wiped out in Victoria'

Liberal govt 'didn't deserve to get wiped out in Victoria' Sky News host Andrew Bolt says at the last election, the Victorian Liberal Party "were absolutely wiped out by a government that didn't deserve to get re-elected, the socialist-left government of Daniel Andrews".

Speaking with Victorian MP Tim Smith, Mr Bolt said "I don't know how you stuffed it up, but you stuffed it up completely, in part on global warming".

Mr Bolt said he believes the new Victorian Liberal Leader, Michael O'Brien, is "a nice guy" but thinks he has made "zero impact" in the role.

"I bet you 99 out of a hundred people in the street would not know his name".

Mr Bolt also called upon Mr Smith to "challenge" for the leadership of the party in the state, however the member for Kew ruled out any such action.
