New measures announced to retain tourism jobs, train workers during downtime The tourism sector, which has been hit by falling visitor numbers amid the COVID-19 outbreak, is getting a S$15 million boost, with new initiatives announced on Feb 21. The aim is to save jobs by training workers, and redesign jobs to stay relevant. It is part of the S$4 billion Stabilisation and Support Package announced in this year's Budget.
