PGA Catalunya Golf Resort - not played, but admired

PGA Catalunya Golf Resort - not played, but admired Early February I stopped over at the PGA Catalunya Resort near Girona, Spain (while charging my car) and took a good look at the facilities. Did not play there but stayed longer than expected. Here are a few impressions. 1:39-practice facilities; 2:27-at the club house. // Anfang Februar, auf der Fahrt von Malaga in die Schweiz, machte ich am PGA Catalunya Resort halt. Habe zwar nicht dort gespielt aber doch einige Eindrücke eingefangen.

As picked up on another site: "The Stadium course at PGA Catalunya Resort, which hosted the Spanish Open in 2014, is a par-72 parkland/woodland layout with pretty lakes framed by pine tress and the Pyrenees mountains. Located close to Barcelona, the course was the brainchild of Neil Coles and Angel Gerardo of the European Tour, who were looking to create a venue in the Catalonia region for Tour competitions. It’s an entertaining challenge with tree-lined fairways, carefully positioned bunkers and elevated tees offering excellent vistas."
