Beatboxing was born in 1980’s NYC as one of the five elements of hip-hop with the guidance of legends like Doug E Fresh, Kid Lucky, and Rahzel. After decades of evolution underground and overseas, innovation continues to push the art form.
American Beatbox is a platform for the beatboxing community to carry the torch into the future, dedicated to helping beatboxers reach their potential and connect with audiences worldwide via content, livestreams, merchandise, battles and events.
The American Beatbox Championships is the premiere beatbox competition in the USA. Every November, over Veteran’s Day Weekend, the most talented beatboxers from around the country come to NYC to compete for the titles, bragging rights, and a spot to represent their country at the World Champs. 2019 marked the ten year anniversary of the ABCs, and the first official year of American Beatbox launching as a platform.
