Subsidies to encourage more Singaporeans to get vaccinated

Subsidies to encourage more Singaporeans to get vaccinated To encourage more people to be vaccinated, subsidies will be offered by end-2020. It will be at least 50% off for all adult Singaporeans, and free for children for the shots that are officially recommended. The subsidies will be made available to Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) GP clinics. Fee caps will also be introduced to ensure cost savings are passed on to Singaporeans. Vaccination rates in Singapore remain low, notably among seniors aged 65 to 74. Just 14% of seniors have been vaccinated against influenza, and 12% are protected against pneumococcal disease, which can lead to pneumonia.
