Why you should be concerned about the coronavirus

Why you should be concerned about the coronavirus The current fatality rate is 35 times higher than the common flu, and that is based on countries who took measures to protect and test their citizens, instead of being so concerned with their economy, that they left their citizens vulnerable, their healthcare workers without protective equipment or ability to test, and their states without means of containing this deadly virus.

I am a resident of Los Angeles, and the United States. I am absolutely terrified by the lack of testing my community endures in this outbreak.

There are people who have lost family members in Washington, claiming their elderly parents were transferred to hospitals without anyone being told, only to die alone. One man claimed they told him his mother (a patient of the nursing home cluster) died of “natural” causes.

What is worse is how calm people remain not realizing that “no news” does not mean “good news”.

You can’t know what’s going on if you’re not testing anyone.

Italy took aggressive action to test, quarantine, and cut off all flights from affected areas early on.
