In this episode I'm talking about an article I'm looking at on the Polygon website about the next generation of gaming consoles the Xbox Series x and PS5. Not much has come out about these two consoles as of yet, But there's speculation that you'll need a newer tv for the specifications of the next gen consoles like a tv with a HDMI 2.1 output and a 120hz built in refresh rate so it can speed up the pixels on screen. Now it's not mandatory to buy a next gen tv but if you want all the bells and whistles then you'll be needing to spend a lot on the tv's then the consoles themselves. But in theory even if you've a 4k HDR tv you're good to go in my honest opinion. I've a LG 4k HDR tv and I'm enjoying it but yet if you really want the 8k it'll most likely be for tv, films and Netflix style apps, so don't think you'll be playing uncharted 5 or 6 or Last of us in 8k because there's going to be some draw backs like frame rate maybe 8k 30fps or below or dip in graphics. so just rely on 4k, 120fps for the standard of today's settings to give a rough idea for now.
